Nice to meet you

My name is Lydia Jayne. Creating art for over two decades has given me freedom to speak far more than any words could do justice. I started in pencil like most artists, but unlike many, I grew to love a plethora of mediums from watercolor and oil to stone and wood. Still later, my interest led me into the graphic arts. Teaching art to public school children in high school grew my appreciation for the field. Studying art in Italy fueled my passion to learn about the world around me. Creating artwork in graduate school challenges me to create more fine-tuned art. Everyday life inspires me.

I feel that good art pleases not just the eye but the untouchable parts of our nature, and by this connection, whispers to our being ideas and moods that our words are unable to utter.
