Hi! My name is Lydia Jayne. Creating art for over 30 years has fed my deep hunger for knowing the many “whys” in the world. Although I hear many people ask “Why is there pain?” (and despite deeply resonating with that question), I prefer to ask instead, “Why is there joy?” The pursuit of this and other questions is my reason for creating.

Like most artists, I started my art journey with drawing, but unlike many, I grew to love creating in almost every other form of art as well. This includes watercolor, acrylic and oil painting, stone and wood carving and of course, in our digital age, graphic design, illustration and social media marketing.

In my expanded art practice in design, I've given ample time to learn. I have a focus and love of watercolor and digital illustration, but I have experience in branding, logo, product and packaging design. Social media marketing has become an integral part of my design practice as well.

Where did it all start? Well, maybe let's not go back that far, it started with me holding a pencil at age 2.

When I taught art to inner city public school children in high school through the Worcester Art Museum, my appreciation for the purpose of the arts grew.

Studying art in Italy during college fueled my passion to keep learning about the entire world around me.

Using my art to illustrate concepts and books while getting my Master of Science in Nursing and Interprofessional Leadership challenged me to create more fine-tuned, intentional art.

Pushing myself to continue creating art while working as a nurse during the pandemic both challenged and watered my soul.

Everyday life inspires me.

Although my studio is located in New England, I have had excellent success working closely with clients across the country and internationally.

I'm looking forward to working with you!
